I went to the Dr today for my 30 (31.5 week) checkup. All is good.
My blood pressure is great, heartbeat is strong and I am measuring just a few days ahead of schedule (based on my tummy check)
I brought up my concerns with the glucose testing and how I can't usually go more than 2.5-3 hours without eating and he recommended we do a 'random test.' I went over to the lab after my appointment, had my blood drawn and waited for a few minutes. I needed to get between 65-140 and I got 88. He thinks the 160 was a fluke reading and says I am 'in the clear' and he isn't worried about it at all especially since I am not gaining weight at a rapid weight, the baby isn't getting too big and there is nothing else that would indicate to him that I have gestational diabetes. Thankfully!
I saw a different doctor this time. There are 6 doctors that could potentially deliver Parker and it was recommended I get through all of them - just in case. This is the first time I have had a male doctor that I would willingly schedule another appointment with. I felt so comfortable with him - it was weird...for me. I liked him a lot. I don't plan on seeing the other male doctor and will continue to see the other 3 female doctors and then will also see him again. Yay for a good doctor!!

That is so wonderful sweetie. Sound like you visit to the doc. turned out well. I am so happy for you... and it helps me not to worry so much about you....love to you all...
Great news! I prefer female docs myself... glad to hear all is well! :)
Lucky you! Most people do pass the three hour test, so you probably would have been OK - but this is better yet. Just a few more weeks.
Yay, glad to hear no more tests for you. GD does make those last few weeks a little less enjoyable.
oh I had the same thing. I failed the first test and then had to take the three hour one and passed. I was almost hoping to fail the 3 hour one just cause that would explain why I had gained so much weight! But I passed (thanks goodness for baby) and just had to take the weight gain as pure eating :)
