I realized it has been quite a while since I have done a Friday 5! Holiday edition...I was hoping it would be about the holidays more than talking about food. I suppose I could make up my own questions, but I really don't feel like it. Happy holiday eating!
1. What foods do you associate with this time of year? Mashed potatoes, grandma's stuffing, roast, grasshopper pie, grandma's juice (cranberry juice and sparkling grape juice - YUMMY!)2. Which of them are your favorites? Your least favorites? all of those are my favorites! i love holiday food. my least favorite: cranberry sauce! ISH!!
3. What traditional (or nontraditional) holiday foods do you make or buy every year? Well, considering we usually go to my grandma's every year, we don't make the food. She doesn't even have us bring anything. So, none.
4. Are you more likely to overindulge or abstain from seasonal treats? Overindulge!
5. With all of the high-calorie temptations at this time of year, how do you manage your diet? I don't! Holiday calories don't count! (to me, at least)

Au Gratin Potatoes, Ham, lefse, lots and lots of sweets!

Ham and creamed peas are my least favorite. My favorite are the sweets (especially mom's toffee)and crackers and cheese

I like to experiment with many different recipes...but I tend to make my Grandma Carren's old chocolate covered ritz peanut butter crackers every year...YUM!

Good question...we will see! It's a HOLIDAY not a HOLIWEEK (that's what I have to tell myself!)
