Either/Or

Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend! We are going to the apple orchard tomorrow. Hope the weather cooperates, it's supposed to! By the way..the picture ~~> is me when I was a junior.

1. Bullies, preps, stoners, geeks, jocks, drama queens, and more roamed the halls. Where did you fit in? Did your clique have a name? Well, I was actually a shy cheerleader who was dating the popular football player. I was seriously friend with just about everyone in high school. I didn't associate myself with any of the clicks, I was nice to everyone.
2. Hot lunch or cold lunch? Neither, I bought from the ala carte. I usually got cookies, juice and milk every single day!
3. What did you wear to school? (Go ahead, date yourself here) Whatever was in style. Mostly jeans and baby tees.
4. What extra-curricular activities did you participate in? I was a football cheerleader. Made it onto Student Council but didn't go for some reason, also made it into yearbook, but didn't go.. :(
5. Who were your best friends? Do you still talk to any of them? Nikki, Angelina and David. I only talk to David still. Angelina moved away so we lost touch. Nikki started hanging out with some girls that partied, did drugs and she also slept with my ex-boyfriend. Not cool. I talked to her about a year ago and she is a single mom to 2 daughters. David is my husband..

We are talking a long time ago... like 45 years... it may be a lot of years.. but high school was the same for me as it was for most of you.. but the only thing that is the lack of the many drugs that can circulate now. Drinking was the bad thing then. I did not hang out with any group of kids ... there was only a couple of friends. The big thing to do after school was to hang out at the hamburger joints.

2. Hot lunch or cold lunch? In my school days.. usually the upper class people ate hot lunches..otherwise the rest of us brought our own lunch and we sat out on the front lawn of the school with out friends (weather permitting). At that time I lived in California...so there was not 4 seasons where I lived.

Well we are talking aback in the late 50's early 60's... The girls were not allowed to wear pants to school or really short skirts or dresses. When not in school..of course it was bellbottom pants... short belly shirts... kind of what they are wearing these days..what goes around ... comes back around.

4. What extra-curricular activities did you participate in? I was on the girls basketball team and I was in the Pep Club.

5. Who were your best friends? Do you still talk to any of them?
My bestfriend was Sandy. We talk and email to this day. We became friends when I was 15 and I will be 60... so I am thinking ... if you can have a friend that long... that is a true best friend.
